Brian Bastable is a Managing Partner of Fax Real Estate and responsible for the overall growth, strategy and performance of the business. Mr. Bastable previously spent 8 years at Slate Asset Management, where he was a Managing Director of Canadian Investments. During his tenure, Mr. Bastable was responsible for overseeing the origination and execution of Slate’s investments and strategic initiatives across Slate’s private equity, public vehicle, and separate account platforms in Canada. Prior to Slate, Mr. Bastable spent 11 years with Brookfield Financial, the real estate advisory arm of Brookfield Asset Management, where he was involved in over $5 billion of transactions throughout Canada, the United States and Brazil.

Mr. Bastable holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Economics from Western University (Huron College).
