Nickolas Lim

Managing Director

Nickolas Lim is a Managing Director, Investments at FAX Capital.  Mr. Lim has over 15 years of experience in assessment of Canadian investments, transaction structuring, board representation and M&A, including most recently with Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited’s investment management subsidiary, and Brookfield Asset Management in the private equity group and public securities group. Mr. Lim brings experience in structuring, corporate governance and investment diligence in both public and private markets and across the capital structure. Active ownership experience include board roles and helping with operational turnarounds at portfolio companies. Mr. Lim previously worked as an analyst at two multi-strategy hedge funds and started his career in the mergers and acquisitions group of Scotia Capital Inc. Mr. Lim graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelors in Applied Science (Industrial Engineering), is a CFA Charterholder, and is a member of the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Advisory Board of the University of Toronto.
